What people ask before they hire
Our fee, timing, the agreement, replacements. Cannot find your answer? Ring or write, and we will reply during office hours.
What is your fee?
50 % of the employee’s monthly salary, split equally: you pay 25 %, the employee pays 25 %. The salary depends on the market and on what you ask for, so we give the exact figure at the consultation.
How is the fee paid?
Once, when the agreement is signed. You pay your 25 % and the employee’s 25 % as a single payment. The employee then receives their first month’s salary minus that 25 %.
How soon will I see candidates?
First profiles arrive 3–5 days after signing, usually three to five candidates. An unusual brief – two languages and live-in, say – takes longer.
What if the person is not right for us?
During the term of the agreement you have up to three free replacements. The replacement costs you nothing: the new employee pays us their 25 %.
How do you check candidates?
Documents (identity papers, health certificate, other certificates), references – we ring previous employers ourselves – psychological testing and an interview in person. You see a profile only after the checks.
What agreement do we sign?
The standard term is six months, with the hours and duties written in. A shorter agreement is possible; we discuss the terms case by case.
Which languages do your staff speak?
We search to your brief: Armenian, Russian or English. Tick the languages and the level you need in the enquiry. In the office we speak all three.
Live-in or live-out?
Either. Full-time live-in or live-out, part-time on a few agreed days, or by the hour once or twice a week. A visiting housekeeper comes one to three days a week, on set days.
Can we have a trial day?
Yes. If you wish, the employee works trial days before anything is settled. For a housemaid, a house manager and private household staff the trial period is five days.
How many hours a day do staff work?
A standard working day is 6–8 hours. Anything beyond that is paid separately, at an hourly rate.
Where do you work?
In Yerevan and across Armenia. The office is at 4/12 Marshal Babajanyan Street, Yerevan, next to the PARMA supermarket. Visits are by appointment.
I am looking for work. How do I apply?
Fill in the form on the Work for us page. We do not take calls from applicants: there are too many, and the conversation starts with the same questions anyway. We reply to every form ourselves.
